In Nafplion itself we recommend a wander around the old town and visits to the museums followed by a coffee or a drink at one of the many cafes along the harbour or in the narrow streets. For the more adventurous try kite surfing at Nea Kios just a few minutes from the town centre or scuba diving at Karathona beach where rock climbing is also available.

Walking or rambling is another activity favoured by many visitors. It it possible to take part in guided walks over historic paths which are particularly popular out of season, in the Spring and autumn Greece is a botanist’s paradise with the mountains covered in wild flowers and plants.

Take part in a guided tour and wine tasting at one of Nemea’s wineries. Wine from the region is exported all of the world and is of a very high standard. The local ouzo distillery also offers the same with the addition of a visit to their museum.

Take some time out to learn pottery, take an art course, see how material is made on the traditional loom, learn how to make jewellery, take a trip to the islands of Hydra & Spetses or a local boat trip through the Corinth canal.. the list is endless, there are many activities that we have not mentioned here, please make sure to ask us if you don’t see something you would like to do here and we will be pleased to advise.
